About:
For Alex, building meaningful relationships is just as
important as building great projects. Having grown up alongside the Kingham
families in Nacogdoches, Texas, joining KDW during its expansion into Central
Texas in 2023 felt less like starting a new job and more like coming home. With
a deep-rooted connection to the company’s mission and people, Alex brings both
strategic insight and a heart for service to her dual role as Legal Counsel and
Director of Business Development.
In her day-to-day, Alex leads KDW’s business development
efforts — shaping the company’s growth strategy while cultivating strong,
lasting partnerships with clients, future clients, and community partners. A
thoughtful listener and creative problem-solver, she’s passionate about
connecting people, solving challenges, and helping others grow.
Alex graduated with honors from the University of Texas with
a B.S. in Communication Studies, and later earned her J.D. from SMU’s Dedman
School of Law, also with honors. While at SMU, she served as Vice President of
the Student Bar Association and citation editor for the International Law
Review Association. Prior to joining KDW, she practiced commercial real estate
law at two of Austin’s leading firms — Graves, Dougherty, Hearon & Moody
and Armbrust & Brown — where she built a strong foundation in negotiation,
development, and deal structuring.
Professionally, Alex is a member of RECA, the Association of
Professional Women in Construction (APWC) – Central Texas, NAIOP’s Austin
Chapter, and a member of the Global Investment Committee for Opportunity
Austin, where she finds inspiration and camaraderie among other driven,
purpose-led professionals. Outside of work, she dedicates her time to causes
that reflect her values. She teaches Sunday School at Covenant Presbyterian
Church, serves on the Dell Children’s Trust Executive Committee, and is a former
member of the Elizabeth Ann Seton Board which supports Ascension Seton
Hospital’s NICU.
At the heart of it all, Alex is grounded by faith, family,
and the joy of everyday moments. She lives in Austin with her husband, Will,
their three daughters, and their two beloved dogs. Whether in the boardroom,
the community, or at home, Alexandra leads with empathy, integrity, and the
belief that the most lasting legacies are built through people. While not in the office, Alex can be found walking
the trail at Lady Bird Lake or exploring the beautiful greenbelts with her
family and pups, with an ideal day spent near any of Central Texas’ bodies of
water and ending with live music at one of Austin’s classic venues (and of
course at Darryl K. Royal Stadium in the Fall cheering proudly for the Texas
Longhorns!).
