About:
Jeff Rushing brings more than 28 years of experience in the construction industry, including 21 years with KDW and nearly three decades working alongside CEO Keith Dalton. Over the course of his career, Jeff has built a strong reputation for leadership in the field, spending 23 years as a Superintendent managing projects across retail, K-12 education, and indoor athletic facilities. His experience includes overseeing renovations and additions to active facilities as well as new construction and improvements to occupied campuses, where coordination, safety, and communication are critical to project success.
Jeff now serves as KDW’s Safety Director, bringing his decades of field experience into a leadership role focused on strengthening the company’s safety culture across every project and jobsite. For Jeff, safety is more than a checklist of requirements — it’s a mindset that must be reinforced every day in the field. Through hands-on coaching, jobsite engagement, and a strong commitment to training, he works to make safety a positive and consistent part of daily operations.
Jeff believes that when safety becomes a habit rather than a requirement, teams perform better and everyone goes home safely. His professional certifications include CSHO Construction Industry (10/2024), OSHA Authorized Outreach Trainer, OSHA SSH Construction Industry (6/2023), OSHA SSH General Industry (4/2024), along with 12 OSHA standard-specific certifications that reinforce his commitment to safety leadership and continuous improvement.
Outside of work, Jeff enjoys spending time with his wife Diana, daughters Ashley and Shelby, and son-in-law Garrett. His newest and favorite title, however, is “Grandpasaurus,” a role he proudly holds for his twin grandchildren, Emerson Louise and Theodore Daniel Kreft.
