About:
There’s no such thing as a typical day for Mark Miesch — and
that’s exactly how he likes it. Whether he’s leading due diligence on a new
site, coordinating design, managing construction, or jumping in to solve an
unexpected challenge, Mark brings a steady hand and a no-nonsense work ethic to
every phase of the project. With a career built on honesty, follow-through, and
a love for building things right, he’s known at KDW as the guy who just gets it
done.
Mark was graduated from Texas A&M University in 1989
with a degree in Building Construction, then spent nearly four years working
and traveling through 37 states in three years and nine months as a supervisor
for the world’s largest liner company. The pace was fast, the learning curve
steep — and it gave Mark the kind of real-world experience you can’t get from a
textbook. (It also gave him a lasting distaste for hotels.)
Today, Mark plays a critical role at KDW, where he leads
efforts around land and project due diligence, design implementation,
budgeting, and overall delivery. He’s a firm believer in being clear, honest,
and accountable — because when people trust you to lead their project, showing
up with integrity is non-negotiable. Around the office, Mark wears a lot of
hats — literally and figuratively — and is often the first to step in wherever
he’s needed.
Off the clock, Mark is still hands-on. He spends weekends
tackling personal projects, raising chickens, hunting, restoring antique tools
and cars, landscaping, logging, arrowhead hunting, and occasionally wrangling
the odd snake. A longtime resident of Magnolia, he and his wife Tracy are proud
parents to daughters Margaret and Meredith, and son Donovan. They attend St.
Anthony of Padua Catholic Church and stay close to family, including Mark’s
parents in Irving.
With Mark, what you see is what you get: a straight shooter,
a problem solver, and someone who’s never afraid to get his hands dirty —
whether that’s on a jobsite, in the woods, or somewhere in between.
