About:
Rolf Scheffler has spent his career turning challenges into
opportunities and projects into long-term partnerships. With nearly two decades
of experience and a deep understanding of both operations and strategy, Rolf
brings a steady, hands-on approach to KDW’s leadership team.
A proud graduate of Texas A&M University, Rolf earned
his Bachelor of Science in Construction Science. He joined KDW early in his
career and quickly established himself as a trusted project leader, known for
his clear communication, attention to detail, and ability to keep projects
moving forward — no matter the size or complexity.
Before stepping into his current role as Chief Operating
Officer in 2024, Rolf spent over 15 years leading KDW’s Special Projects
Division. Under his direction, the division completed more than 500 projects —
from renovations and expansions to ground-up construction and facility
maintenance — all with an emphasis on budget control, schedule performance, and
strong client relationships.
Today, Rolf plays a key role in shaping the company’s
long-term success through strategic initiatives spanning business development,
risk management, quality control, operations, and company culture.
Beyond his day-to-day responsibilities at KDW, Rolf remains
committed to giving back to the industry and his community. He serves on the
Texas A&M Construction Industry Advisory Council, established the Builders
of the Future Endowed Scholarship with a few of his college classmates, and has
been a dedicated volunteer with the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo for 18
years — currently serving as Vice Chairman of the Equipment Acquisition
Committee. He also serves on the building committee at Foundry United Methodist
Church.
Born and raised in Houston, Rolf resides in Jersey Village
with his wife Katie and their two children, Tyler and Hailey. Outside of work,
Rolf enjoys spending time outdoors with family and friends hunting, fishing,
and ranching.
Rolf’s leadership style is grounded in trust,
accountability, and a belief that great results come from great people. For
him, it’s not just about completing a project — it’s about building something
that lasts.
