When a fire destroyed a significant portion of Portacool’s manufacturing plant in 2023, the industry leader in portable evaporative cooling needed a trusted partner to help them rebuild — and expand. KDW, who had previously constructed Portacool’s main office building in 2016, was brought back to lead the full design-build effort.

Completed in under a year, the project delivered two new structures: a 73,750 SF pre-engineered metal building featuring metal siding, exhaust fans and louvers, a 7,000 SF interior powder room, and full fire sprinkler protection, alongside a 39,000 SF open-structure storage building. The rebuild not only restored lost capacity but positioned Portacool for continued growth.
