KDW completed a design-build expansion and renovation of R&L Carriers’ existing
maintenance shop in Dallas, Texas. The expansion added 3,305 SF to the facility,
including 1,025 SF of restroom and breakroom space and 2,280 SF of parts and
tool storage, both constructed as PEMB additions to the existing PEMB structure.

The renovation encompassed 4,560 SF of the existing buildout, with complete demolition and reconstruction of bathrooms and breakroom areas to integrate with the new expansion. All work was performed while the facility remained fully operational, requiring daily coordination between KDW and R&L Carriers to ensure uninterrupted maintenance operations. KDW managed all aspects of the design-build process including permitting through the City of Dallas.
