KDW Wins Tilt-Up Achievement Award for Second Consecutive Year

Sprint Transport Project in La Porte Recognized for Excellence in Tilt-Up Construction

KDW is proud to announce that our Sprint Transport project in La Porte, Texas has been selected as a winner of the Tilt-Up Achievement Award from the Tilt-Up Concrete Association (TCA). This marks our second consecutive year receiving this honor, following last year’s award for our Sharmon Speculative building.

The Sprint Transport facility showcases KDW’s expertise in both design and construction, with our team serving as both architect and general contractor for this significant industrial project. The achievement reflects our continued commitment to excellence in tilt-up concrete construction and our ability to deliver innovative solutions for our clients.

“This recognition from the TCA reinforces our position as a leader in tilt-up construction in Texas,” said Todd Hlavinka. “The Sprint Transport project demonstrates our integrated design-build approach and our ability to execute complex industrial facilities that meet our clients’ specific operational needs.”

The project team included KDW as architect and general contractor, Steel Masters as tilt-up subcontractor, and LJB Inc. as structural engineer. Winners of the Tilt-Up Achievement Award represent some of the best projects the industry has to offer, with winning projects published in Tilt-Up Today magazine and celebrated during the 2025 Tilt-Up Convention and Expo in Nashville on October 1st.

The Sprint Transport facility joins KDW’s growing portfolio of award-winning tilt-up projects, highlighting our 130+ years of construction expertise and fifth-generation commitment to building excellence throughout Texas.
